Tap Water Day

The Mission of Tap Water Day campaign is to improve access to drinking water in public places with drinking water education. Tap Water Day promotes drinking fountains and filling stations in schools, parks, recreation centers, libraries and other public places. We want everyone to understand the high quality of publicly supplied drinking water provided throughout communities.

In 2025, the Metropolitan Water District Agencies Celebrate Tap Water Day:

In 2024, the Metropolitan Water District Agencies partnered with WeTap.org to help celebrate public drinking water and to highlight the commitments and investments public agencies are making as they work together and improve access to safe, dependable and affordable drinking water.
